Axon Moore are partnering with a market leading logistics company based in Lancashire with a search of a newly created Head of FP&A position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that has been trading excellently through COVID and looking to strengthen their finance team moving forward. This highly commercial Head of FP&A position will be working very closely to an exceptional CFO and other senior stakeholders across the business. The role will be focusing on driving the commercial deliverables across the business and building strong operational relationship with senior stakeholders.

The role will include:
  • Report directly to the CFO
  • Develop and deliver the financial performance management in line with the short/medium and long-term financial planning and reporting strategy
  • Reviewing and developing the current financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes across the business
  • Delivering detailed annual budgets, 3 year strategic planning & quarterly forecasts for the business
  • Recognise key drivers in future financial performance to analyse ahead of the company reporting and assessing potential risks
  • Liaise with the senior leadership team, operating board and leaders to present, interpret and drive action plans for data and analysis produced
  • Own the weekly flash reporting, understanding key drivers with clear and concise explanation to the CFO
  • Work closely with the Management Accounts team to ensure consistency between the weekly flash reporting and month end reporting
  • Business partnering with several key stakeholders across the operation to improve financial management and deliver results
  • Management, development and mentoring of a strong FP&A/FBP team including qualified and part qualified accountants
You will be a Fully Qualified Accountant from either an ACA, CIMA or ACCA background and ideally have worked within a fast-moving environment. You will need to have a solid technical accounting background and use to a hands-on environment whilst adding value. Salary is £75k - £85k + car + bonus + benefits
