This is an exceptional opportunity for a super ambitious, driven and commercially minded qualified accountant, to join one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK, in a newly created Head of FP&A role!

This business is a high growth Leeds based owner managed SME. that has tripled in turnover over the last 2 years. They have an impressive client portfolio, and multiple sites across the UK, and fantastic Head offices based in East Leeds, which are easily accessible from Leeds, Wakefield, Selby, York and Harrogate/Knaresborough.

This role has been created due to the further recent growth of the business, and they are now in need of a dedicated resource to head up the FP&A function, reporting directly to the CFO.

**This would be ideally suited to someone ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong technical and commercial grounding in finance looking for a step up, or a 1st/2nd time mover from practice looking to move into a senior commercial finance role***

The business is continuing to grow at a phenomenal rate, offering longer term clear career progression to FC/FD level.

The key duties will include:

  • Production of the P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet on a monthly basis for the board pack
  • 90 Cash flow projection forecasts
  • Rolling 12 month look ahead forecasts for all three statements.
  • Responsible for the annual budgeting process
  • Analysing supplier spend and labour spend reports which are circulated on a daily basis
  • Working with numerous internal stakeholders to understand financial performance to budget, to prior year. The bulk of the variance analysis will be done by the management accountants, this role will challenge the commentary and produce the key reports that will be reviewed by the board.

The successful candidate will:
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified accountant with technical experience on production of financial statements - Essential
  • Have advanced excel skills/analysis skills - Essential
  • Have strong business partnering and stakeholder engagement skills - Essential
  • Have the ambition to progress within a high growth and ambitious SME - Essential
