Axon Moore are recruiting internally for a Head of Marketing & Communications.

This is an ideal role for an ambitious Marketing Manager wanting to step up to the role of Head of Marketing & Communications for the first time. You will take overall accountability for all online and offline marketing activity and ownership of the company brand to ensure all internal and external communications adhere to brand guidelines and the company’s values.

As Axon Moore’s brand ambassador, you will work closely with all four offices across the North as well as the Managing Director and Finance Director to provide insight and best practice marketing guidance. You will lead the marketing strategy to help drive forward and accelerate business performance in line with ambitious growth plans.

The role will report directly into the Managing Director and as such will have a level of influence in key business decisions whilst providing leadership, management and guidance to an established and dedicated Marketing & Events Executive.

Main Duties:
  • Oversee all online and offline marketing activity across four offices in the North to maximise revenue generation
  • Implement best practice across all marketing efforts both online and offline
  • Work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement new projects
  • Be responsible for adhering to annual marketing and events budgets
  • Have full ownership of the brand across all vertical disciplines
  • Be solely responsible for all written or image-based website content
  • Project manage all marketing projects from start to finish e.g. website redesign, brand refresh, new content evolutions
  • Manage social media channels on an hourly basis to ensure quality content is produced for our 4,000+ followers
  • Create a wide range of marketing materials to support the wider business e.g. executive proposals, selected track records, team structure charts and LinkedIn graphics
  • Report on a monthly basis on website and LinkedIn performance
  • Manage a Marketing & Events Executive ensuring they are handling event budgets and booking processes correctly
  • Be responsible for the organisation of large internal events e.g. quarterly company-wide presentations, summer conference, Christmas do, etc.
  • Ensure all internal and external communications reflect our brand reputation as a leading financial recruiter in the North
 Person Specification:
  • Fully qualified marketing professional (CIM, master’s degree or equivalent)
  • 5+ years’ marketing experience is essential
  • Excellent written and communication skills including presentations
  • Enthusiastic team builder for collaborating across the organisation
  • Proven team leadership experience with ability to coach and mentor
  • Strong motivational and innovative capabilities
  • Have creative flair with a keen eye for attention to detail
  • Advanced IT and analytical skills, knowledge and awareness
  • Previous experience in a similar role
 Required Skills:
  • Experience in managing agency relationships and projects
  • Social media management (multiple channels including LinkedIn)
  • PPC, SEO & PR experience
  • Web design experience
  • Adobe Photoshop design skills
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Advanced skills on Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)
