Axon Moore are working exclusively with a Harrogate based SME to cover a period of maternity for over a year.
Working with an outstanding FD, this role will see the successful applicant take ownership of management accounts, budgeting, working capital and the audit process. The role will have a number of direct reports and with indirect reports underneath including a transactional team.
The business is in a period of growth, and as a result you may be involved in increasing the size of the team, as well as taking control of ongoing IT project.
The initial key duties of this role will include:

The initial key duties of this role will include:
- Manage and develop the finance team including regular reviews against personal objectives
- Reviewing the Monthly Management Accounts and further account analysis for the Directors including variance analysis against budgets and business plan
- Provide business partnering support to budget holders across the business
- Management on working capital, maintaining a 6month rolling cashflow forecast
- Maintain the budget process
- Financial Reporting for Directors and the wider business
- Ensure Statutory returns are completed
- Continually review internal controls
- Support ad hoc projects and analysis
- Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a relevant management role - Essential
- Have exceptional communication and presentation skills and the ability to engage and influence - Essential
