Interim Finance / Systems Accountant
Bury
Interim (6-month contract)
£250 - £325 per day 


Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home)

As they embark on a NetSuite implementation project, they are seeking an Interim Finance / Systems Accountant to play a pivotal role in the success of this venture. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the financial stability and growth of the organisation during a 6-month contract.

Job Description: As an Interim Finance / Systems Accountant, you will take on a multifaceted role that combines financial expertise with systems implementation skills. You will be involved in the NetSuite implementation project for the duration of the 6-month contract . Additionally, you will work with the existing finance team in the preparation of month-end accounts, budget & year-end process. .

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in UAT, departmental training & roll-out of the NetSuite project during the 6-month contract.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define system configurations, and ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Perform routine month-end accounting tasks such as accruals & prepayments, margin & overhead reporting and ongoing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee the company's Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and provide analysis as required.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Proven experience in NetSuite implementation and administration.
  • Strong financial accounting skills and familiarity with UK GAAP.
  • Ability to manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of construction industry accounting practices is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment (3 days in the office, 2 days remote).
