M&A Director: Driving acquisitive growth for a PE-Backed Business in the North-West.
Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a leading PE-Backed Services business as they embark on the next phase of expansion through a major buy and build strategy.
As a result, they are now seeking an exceptional M&A Director to play a pivotal role and spearhead their strategic growth initiatives.
As M&A Director, you will lead the acquisition strategy from start to finish, having day to day responsibility for driving acquisitions transactions to completion. You will play a key role in creating and delivering both the strategy for identifying new targets, executing transactions as well as in the successful integration of the new acquisitions. There is an ambitious revenue growth plan as part of the five-year strategy and this role will be integral to the success and delivery of this plan.
Working closely with the PE partners and the CFO, your strategic insights and leadership will help to shape the future trajectory of the business.
Your ability to identify lucrative investment opportunities, analyse potential risks, and drive due diligence will be paramount and key responsibilities will include:
• Development of the M&A strategy, reporting directly to CFO and working closely with Chief Commercial Officer, and wider business leadership team
• Development and maintenance of M&A pipeline, sourcing and developing new deal opportunities through proprietary.
• Work with internal and external teams during M&A process from strategic rationale, due diligence, approvals, and negotiations through full integration.
• Manage and negotiate non-disclosure agreements, confidentiality agreements with target companies as well as transaction documentation.
• Develop presentation materials summarizing investment opportunities and recommendations for senior management and the board of directors.
• During non M&A activity, role will work within Finance to deliver the wider business KPI’s, including reporting packs to stakeholders, including 5 year strategy packs to Boards, banks and shareholders, including FP&A.
This is a rare ‘in house’ opportunity well suited to a technically strong ACA Qualified candidate with extensive CF/M&A experience who has the self-motivation and gravitas to lead and deliver M&A strategy in an leading PE backed business with hugely ambitious future plans.
