Management Accountant (3 Month FTC)

£45,000 - £50,000 

Axon Moore have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced Management Accountant to join a fast paced and growing business. 

The successful Management Accountant will be responsible for the timely production of accurate monthly management accounts.  In addition this role will also help deliver and drive process improvements in management accounting and related finance processes. 

The role will comply with the financial policies, procedures & reporting methodology to support the company’s strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivered high-quality management accounts, from start to finish including month end journal entries
• Assist in the transition of acquired acquisitions onto the Group’s established financial systems
• Provide contract level reporting for operational and commercial review, utilising existing financial systems
• Provide insightful analysis and commentary of performance and variances to expectations
• Ensure that checks and balances are implemented to ensure that the accounts are robust and accurate
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations to the agreed timetable ensuring that all discrepancies are identified and investigated, including working with wider finance teams to review existing processes where necessary

Key Attributes:

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial systems
• A keen eye for detail balanced with an ability to step back and see the bigger picture 
• A proven ability to deliver under pressure
• Great communication skills - this person will interact across all levels of the business, including senior operational and commercial leaders
• Completed accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or be QBE
