Axon Moore has an urgent requirement for an immediately available part qualified/qualified management accountant.
The successful management accountant will support the Director of Finance and other senior members of finance in the production of the monthly management accounts. Allowing the business to be managed efficiently and effectively.
The role includes responsibility for the compilation and presentation of financial analysis, arish finance support, management accounts, treasury, and financial reports as required by the Director of Finance. You will be expected to ensure financial compliance and that both internal and external deadlines are met to the highest of standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Delivered high-quality management accounts, from start to finish including month end journal entries
•Assist in the transition of acquired acquisitions onto the Group’s established financial systems
•Provide contract level reporting for operational and commercial review, utilising existing financial systems
•Provide insightful analysis and commentary of performance and variances to expectations
•Ensure that checks and balances are implemented to ensure that the accounts are robust and accurate
•Maintain balance sheet reconciliations to the agreed timetable ensuring that all discrepancies are identified and investigated, including working with wider finance teams to review existing processes where necessary
Key Attributes:
•Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial systems
•A keen eye for detail balanced with an ability to step back and see the bigger picture
•A proven ability to deliver under pressure
•Great communication skills - this person will interact across all levels of the business, including senior operational and commercial leaders
•Completed accountancy qualification or currently studying (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
