The scope of this role will grow over time as you develop your skills and experience but some of your key responsibilities include:
- Producing and being responsible for a variety of gross profit and overhead P&L cost centres and producing their monthly management accounts
- Production of management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, variance analysis and other supporting schedules)
- Detailed variance analysis including narrative (actuals vs budget vs forecast vs prior year)
- Full ownership of balance sheet including preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with quarterly P&L forecasting, budgets and 5 year plans
- Posting consolidated invoice journals/prepayments/accruals and various other month end journals
- Supporting wider finance team and senior leadership with ad hoc improvment projects and reporting
- Budgeting, forecasting and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and systems
- Monthly meetings with the Exec team and P&L owners to discuss performance
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) however QBE candidates will also be considered
- Attention to detail and enthusiasm to challenge and improve processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues
- Competent Excel skills
