Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with an exciting and growing construction business based in central Manchester who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant into their accounts team.
This role will report to the Financial Controller and will be a varied role covering all aspects of the management accounts, month-end, reporting and identifying areas for improved efficiency. We are looking for someone who is looking to learn and grow as a Management Accountant.
Salary – £45k per annum + £5k car allowance, discretionary bonus up to 10%, 28 days holiday plus banks, 6% pension, life insurance x3, private medical insurance, discount card, free gym, electric car scheme and free parking.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in preparing the monthly management accounts.
- Ensuring that finance reporting timelines are adhered to.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations & analysis
- Overall management of the Sales, Purchase and Subcontract Ledgers.
- Oversee Supplier & Subcontractor payments runs.
- Assist with monthly cost reports and dealing with cost queries from the QS team.
- Provide support to the transactional team and provide holiday/absence cover to include input of financial transactions, including Sales, Purchases & Bank transactions.
- Look to improve the level of reporting and analysis available to the rest of the business.
- Newly qualified ACCA/CIMA or first-time mover from practice.
- Experience with month-end and management accounts.
- Experience with Sage 50 or 200 would be an advantage.
- Good communication skill, both written and verbal.
- Quick learner with strong work ethic - proactive in your work, showing initiative.
- Team player, positive attitude and happy to help the wider team where needed.
- Good attention to detail and able to work to a fast pace where necessary.
