Management Accountant l Remote Working (Manchester) | Qualified Accountant | Logistics
Job Overview:
Axon Moore are delighted to be working UK based logistics start-up, with significant oversees investment. As a consequence, this is presented as an excellent opportunity to gain exposure in an entrepreneurial environment, working directly with high calibre individuals in the senior leadership team.
Due to the financial backing, the organisation will be driving performance at a fast rate expecting to hit c.£30m t/o within 2/3 years. Therefore, the Financial Controller will be building out a finance team, with the help of this role acting as their number two. This set up provides unrivalled progression as there will be significant opportunity to step into more senior roles as the division progresses. This will include training mentorship and supporting the recruitment of the finance team as it grows all functions such as AP and AR.

Salary: £40,000-£45,000

Main Duties:
• Support the Financial Control with Transaction Processing - Accounts Receivable, Accounts
Payable, Treasury.
• Responsible for ensuring all sales and purchase invoices are raised.
• Responsible for all reconciliations.
• Responsible for ensuring credit checks are carried out.
• Managing staff expenses.
• Manage the month end close process ensuring all balance sheet rec’s have been completed.
• Prepare the monthly board report
• Responsible for ensuring all statutory returns are accurate and submitted
• Produce and manage cash flow forecasts
• Assist the Financial Controller with the implementation of a new finance system.
Person Specification:
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Logistics experience is desirable but not an essential requirement.
• Advanced Excel skill set.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
