A great opportunity for a Management Accountant to join an impressive and rapidly growing business based in Manchester. (Hybrid Working 4 days home 1 day office)
The purpose of this role is to prepare financial information to support month end close and ensure reporting requirements are met on a timely basis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the central finance team with the close of financial month end, ensuring accurate reporting within financial timescales
• Preparation and posting of journals including accruals and prepayments
• Completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure strong controls are in place
• Preparation of Management Accounts which includes variance analysis for P&L
• Reconciliation of VAT account and preparation of VAT returns
• Fixed asset reconciliation and posting of depreciation journals
• Assistance with budgeting and forecasting
• Supporting cost centre reviews
• Ad hoc commercial and working capital analysis
• Commitment to continual improvement of processes
• Skills & Experience:
• Part qualified in a recognised Accountancy qualification.
• Previous experience working in a similar role with accounting experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High levels of motivation, flexibility and the ability to work on own initiative with a drive for excellence, attention to detail and process improvement.
• Strong excel skills
