Job Overview: Marketing / Ecommerce Director

The Role:

As the Marketing/Ecommerce Director, you will be required to take ownership and be responsible for developing the Marketing and E-commerce strategies and delivering ambitious online revenue growth. You will be responsible of managing the full marketing mix, including brand, social media, SEO, influencers, PR and email database. You will work with the Senior Leadership Team and report into to the CEO.

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 + bonus
Location: South Manchester

Main Duties:
  • Lead the definition, implementation and optimisation of the company’s e-commerce strategy to aid revenue growth
  • Develop, implement and drive forward exciting marketing plans and strategies
  • Build programs and initiatives to increase customer acquisition and retention across all markets
  • Build programs and initiatives to increase customer acquisition and retention across all markets
  • Implement best practice SEO, paid advertising strategies, affiliate marketing and managing email database
  • Utilise user feedback and analytics to improve performance
  • Direct merchandising performance through detailed weekly/ monthly reporting to stakeholders
  • Develop promotional strategies, determine and carry out a 12-month promotional calendar
  • Generate, optimise and control all website content through direct and marketplace sales channels
  • Work closely with the trading and sales teams to manage supplier relationships and purchasing in response to growth, product demand and availability
Person Specification:
  • Proven experience developing Marketing strategies and increasing profitability in a business.
  • Outstanding track record in the digital space, particularly paid channels, are essential
  • Proven experience and an impressive track record within Ecommerce and digital marketing
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to inspire, support and forge strong relationships within the Marketing team and throughout the company
  • Be incredibly familiar with optimising performance across paid marketing channels
  • Have a detail-oriented analytical approach to problem solving and the creative passion to launch stand out marketing designs
  • Understand the bigger picture of the brand itself and how it can appeal to a mainstream audience
  • Strong management /communication skills
  • Adopt an entrepreneurial mindset maintaining high standards for business impact and team performance
