Job description

Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a large market leading business with a long-standing history and pedigree in their expert field, who due to continued success require a Payroll Administrator to join their Finance Team. The company, based in Knutsford, Cheshire has a turnover in excess of £1 billion and trades from over 370 locations in the UK. 

Reporting to their impressive, friendly and supportive Payroll Supervisor you will be responsible for the following duties:-
  • Enter new employees to the system
  • Process leavers from the business
  • Running 7 monthly payrolls between a team of 4, including UK and overseas
  • Ensure that all records of absence information is updated
  • Process all maternity, paternity, sick pay etc.
  • Handling queries from managers and employees on pay
Candidate requirements to be considered for this exciting role:-
  • Previous administrative experience (ideally within a finance team however, this is not essential)
  • Confident using Microsoft office including Excel
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Positive, friendly and proactive approach
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Working to strict deadlines
This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Payroll Administrator or a candidate who is looking for their first role within payroll, who has the willingness to learn with an excellent attitude to their work. Full training will be given.
