Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a high-growth, acquisitive business based in Blackburn to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager to play a pivotal role in coordinating the payroll function of the business through a period of sustained growth.
This role will be well suited to experienced and charismatic Payroll Managers who are incredibly organised and boast a fun, outgoing personality with a ‘can do’ approach to work. For this role, it is essential that candidates are process driven, possess exceptional knowledge of UK payroll protocol, able to effectively input ideas for improvement and boast proven experience in successfully managing payroll departments.

Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing a monthly, multi-site payroll of circa 500
- Reviewing and implementing new payroll systems/processes as necessary
- Leading on payroll related projects
- Manage and develop team members
- Responsible for all year end processing
- Reconcile payroll related balance sheet accounts
- Prepare monthly analysis of payroll costs and support the FP&A team with variance analysis
- Answering and dealing with any pay related queries
- Calculating overtime and shift payments
- Processing holiday, sick and maternity/paternity pay
- Ensuring correct PAYE/NI deductions are made and paid to HMRC on time
- Processing new starters and leavers
- Issuing P45’s and other tax forms
