Axon Moore are delighted to be recruiting, due ongoing growth a Pricing Analyst to join an award winning business based at their stylish Chester head office on a hybrid basis. 

As their newest Analyst you will be their latest crucial driving force in their ongoing success and department direction. Analytical, results-orientated and with an extremely high attention to detail, you will be crucial in researching and analysing local regional research and pricing analysis, setting new pricing strategies to optimise income and support contract conversions as well as researching the revenue impact and price opportunity of various property features and options.

Joining their wider Revenue Management Team, you will from day one be involved in:
  • Lead the future year pricing process on a departure week level. This involves setting an overall pricing strategy for each departure week then applying detailed property level analysis on bookings achieved, selling price and level of pricing flexibility
  • Lead regional research: complete detailed market research and pricing analysis into regions around the UK and set new pricing strategies to optimise income and support contract conversion
  • Research the revenue impact and price opportunity of various property features and options
  • Lead research projects on local events around the UK identifying price opportunity and implementing in future pricing structures
  • Develop income projection logic for new properties coming on board as well as tracking the accuracy of these to optimise where possible but also maintaining a competitive edge
  • Carry out detailed short break and pricing option research to demonstrate optimal prices and expected income levels
  • Monitor new property pricing through regular reporting - both holistic and at property level
  • Lead weekly meetings with New Property Pricing and New Owner Teams, influencing them to adjust pricing where required to optimise performance of new stock
  • Manage a control process to ensure pricing actions for new properties are completed in a timely manner and identify opportunities to improve owner acceptance levels
  • Support Head of Pricing in Commercial Due Diligence reporting for new acquisitions
  • Complete price reviews on newly acquired brands and put forward recommendations to optimise base prices and improve income potential
  • Build reports to help the Market Pricing Specialist team address the risk of booking cannibalisation of newly acquired brands on existing stock
  • Create and maintain reporting to track all objectives for the Market Pricing team including Owner Revenue, pricing option upgrades and new property performance
  • Provide support and coaching to the Market Pricing Specialists and New Property Pricing team to grow the analytical skillset across the team
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis on demand and performance trends to fulfil owners’ requests or assist other teams around the business
To be considered for this excellent role, you will have the following:
    • Excellent numeracy and data interpretation skills
    • Understanding of factors affecting price levels
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong commercial awareness (ideally within the holiday lettings or travel and tourism industry)
    • Ability to communicate and influence across different teams and departments
    • Understanding of browser based IT systems
    • Confident Excel user
    • Experience using SQL
    • Strong experience of using MS Office suite (Excel etc)
    • Able to work in a target driven environment
    • Data analysis and data interrogation experience
       ...although standouts will also have:
    • Pricing background
    • Understanding of demand elasticity and revenue management
    • Experience in giving verbal and written presentations
    • Experience using Tableau
    • Experience working in a two sided market
    • Experience of working within the travel and tourism industry and/or property sectors (e.g. estate agency or residential lettings)
    • Experience in coaching and training
