Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a fast growing tech business based in Leeds Centre to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Coordinator to join their small but busy team.

Role Overview

Axon Moore are excited to be working with an excellent client based in Central Leeds to recruit a Senior Payroll Coordinator to join their small but face paced team on a permanent basis.

They’re an award-winning innovative tech consultancy - a team of creative problem solvers. Since 1993 they’ve been finding better, more sustainable ways to solve complex technology problems for some of the world’s leading organisations and delivered solutions that millions of people use every day.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced technology consultancy as part of their established Finance Team. You will engage with various internal stakeholders and play a key role in ensuring smooth payroll operations.

You have a proven track record in payroll management and you are experienced with ADP IHCM, HMRC returns and auto-enrolment requirements. Your excellent communication skills will be crucial as we pride ourselves in providing exceptional service to our employees. While flexibility around month and year-end processes is required, we offer a working week that accommodates your personal commitments.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Manage end-to-end processing of UK payroll for 2,500+ employees, as well as payrolls in Denmark, Ireland, Australia, Portugal and the US
  • Generate time and attendance reports
  • Process new starters and leavers
  • Handle sickness and absence processing in line with statutory entitlements and company policies
  • Administer company pension schemes, ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment policies
  • Manage deductions, including attachment of earnings orders, staff loans and cycle-to-work schemes
  • Process overtime, on-call payments, pay increases, bonuses and contractual changes
  • Use ADP IHCM payroll software for imports and report generation
  • Maintain deep knowledge of PAYE/NIC, statutory payments (SMP/SAP, SPP, SSP) and pension schemes, including auto-enrolment and pension uploads
  • Stay current with payroll legislation and compliance updates
  • Maintain payroll standing operating procedures
  • Familiarity with ADP IHCM, Zest, Bob and Kantata systems is a plus
  • Payroll qualifications are highly desirable
