Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk
Rochdale
£27,000 – £29,000 (6 to 9 Month FTC Potential to go Perm)

Axon Moore have an urgent requirement for an experienced purchase ledger clerk, who is a team player whilst having the independence to work alone in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time temp position, which requires an enthusiastic, hard-working individual to assist with the matching, processing, and posting of invoices.

Responsibilities Include:

• Process UK & US Supplier Invoices, ensuring that all purchase invoices are matched to purchase orders and delivery notes
• Communicate as necessary with the UK and US goods inwards teams to ensure timely and accurate matching of invoices and entry to the accounting ledgers
• Ensure relevant authorisation of invoices prior to posting as agreed by management
• Maintenance of both UK & US Purchase Ledger accounts to include at least monthly reviews of unallocated payments
• Communicate pro-actively with all UK and US suppliers ensuring that statement reconciliations are completed at least monthly
• Recommend UK & US payment runs on a weekly basis to be approved in line with the relevant authorisation matrix
• Create and upload the weekly Creditor Payment files
• Ensure correct tax treatment when setting up new suppliers, predominantly from a VAT (UK) perspective

Reporting:

• Weekly Reporting of Trade Creditor Days (UK & US)
• Review the Aged Creditors Report with the UK Management Accountant / US Finance Manager as appropriate on a Regular Basis
• Ensure the Company Cash Flow Report is accurate and up to date on a real time basis in respect of UK & US Purchase Ledger
• Produce GRNI Reports for both UK & US on a Weekly Basis
• Generate Open PO report for regular review with Purchasing Function
• Daily Reporting of Posted/Unposted Invoice numbers and query volumes for the Group

• A confident, motivated individual with strong communication skills
• Driven individual with excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• A professional individual who has experience in a Purchase Ledger position
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently
• Strong computer skills are essential, coupled with the ability to liaise with others and form effective working relations
