Job description

This is truly exciting opportunity for a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist accountant with strong analytical and business partnering skills to join this dynamic, modern and forward thinking Harrogate based SME! 

This is a newly created Stock Finance Analyst/Business Partner role that will be working in a purely commercial capacity, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. You will play an integral part in the company vision through providing strategic and analytical support within the supply chain and stock planning processes. 

The role would be ideally suited to a commercially and operationally focused accountant with exceptional communication skills, a passion for business, and strong analytical/excel skills.

The key duties of the role will include:
  • Business partnering all relevant functions
  • Maintaining accurate stock records - shaping accurate reporting for stock valuations, provisions and movements across the business
  • Monitoring stock at the third party logistics provider
  • Developing and monitoring accurate processes to ensure sales and returns are validated and accurately recorded
  • Developing stock KPI’s to increase awareness through highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Supporting the Operations Director to manage the third party logistics provider and fulfilment providers, targeting cost reductions and performance improvement.
  • Manage stock and fulfilment accruals
  • Report on balance sheet stock provisions
  • Responsibility for building an accurate stock budget
The ideal candidate will be:
  • Qualified or Finalist CIMA/ACCA/ACA - Essential
  • Have some previous knowledge of stock management - Desirable
  • Have a proven practical background in a commercially focused and analytical role - Essential
  • Have a passion for figures, analysis and interpretation of results - Essential
  • Be experienced in presenting reports, forecasts, trends and recommendations to the team and senior management - Essential
  • Have advanced excel skills - Essential
