Job description
Axon Moore are engaged in a search for a Treasurer for a large scale and profitable business based near Wakefield.
The Treasurer will be a senior member of the finance function, reporting directly to the Group CFO.
The business is looking to implement further rigour and controls into the cash generation and forecasting aspects of the finance function.
They will have ownership and autonomy over a number of key areas of responsibility:
- Lead and co-ordinate the day to day cash forecasting process to increase cash visibility
- Drive enhanced interaction on cash between central and subsidiary functions
- Support and project manage execution of Cash Optimisation projects across the business, including collections, aged debtor reduction, stock analysis etc.
- Take ownership along with Group CFO for banking relationships, including day to day banking, cash pooling and investor reports
- As a senior member of the finance team, take a lead role in developing and reshaping the finance function
- Review of sales incentives / commissions / bonus payments across the group
- In the longer term, this person’s focus will be based on investor relations, banking, hedging and FX
This is an ideal opportunity for a talented and ambitious finance professional who has gained experience within a treasury function, ideally within a business that has a strong focus on cash management. The role could develop into a broader, future leadership role in the business.
