Axon Moore is please to be partnering with an internationally recognised manufacturing business as they look to appoint a UK Finance Director.
This is a newly-created opportunity to support a US business, backed by a leading PE firm, about to embark on two acquisitions in the UK, combined value sub. t/o £50m. Operating in a continuously-growing market, these strategic acquisitions will strengthen the offering of the Group and gain further market share across new geographical locations.

Typical responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with its long-term goals and objectives. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling processes. Monitor and analyse financial performance against targets and provide actionable recommendations for improvement
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company's financial stability and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Present financial results to management teams and the Board of Directors
- Capital Management: Manage capital allocation, including capital raising, investment strategies, and cash flow optimisation
- Treasury Management: Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions. Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the company's financial health and strategic goals
- Financial Operations: Oversee accounting, tax, and audit functions, ensuring compliance with all accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure the company's financial practices adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA)
- Having the gravitas for effective stakeholder management, including: Board members, budget holders, the bank and potential investors
- Successfully scaled a business through fundraising activities
- Strong presentation skills, able to present financial models, scenario planning, investor board packs
- A commercially focussed individual with the interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and make an impact
- A resourceful and solutions-focused individual who can overcome financial issues to enable business success
- Be an energetic self-starter and possess high emotional intelligence, using strong interpersonal skills to foster the culture and values of the Group
