Management Accountant – Leeds – £35,000 to £40,000 – Hybrid with study support.
Axon Moore are delighted to be working in collaboration with a high growth professional services company as they look to recruit for a commercially strong and technically adept Management Accountant to join their team.
Confidence and excellent communication skills are essential as you will work closely with senior management delivering ad-hoc analysis in a business partnering capacity. A solid accounting background is required as are strong analytical skills in order to investigate, understand and explain variances and overall business performance.

THE JOB:
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Accruals, prepayments and P & L analysis
- Report on variances
- Review all balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly reconciliations.
- Manage intercompany recharges and balances.
- Preparation of the monthly finance pack, providing insightful commentary for internal stakeholders
- Leading month end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
- Business partnering with internal stakeholders, attending regular meetings to review budgets, variances and guidance.
- Supporting and leading on any systems and process improvements
- Assist with group reporting.
- Support the Financial Controller and CFO with ad hoc projects.
- Support year end Audit and VAT reporting.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS /SKILLS:
- Part qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA, ACA)
- Experience within Management Accountants
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong technical, analytic, and reporting skills
- Excellent IT skills (advanced knowledge of Excel essential)
- Accurate and attention to detail
- Able to meet deadlines.
