Axon Moore are delighted to be recruiting to a newly created Head of Finance role for an online retailer with worldwide reach that is set for exciting growth over the next few years. Reporting directly to the CFO this will be an outstanding development opportunity for someone seeking a FD/CFO role within the next 2 -3 years. A role with the genuine opportunity to influence commercial and operational direction, this will be the key owner of all relevant business metrics - both financial and non financial, to help provide insight back to the business working alongside the web, trading, marketing and operational teams.

POST LOCKDOWN, THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 3 DAYS PER WEEK IN AMSTERDAM - flexibility around travel or an interest in relocating is a must (travel expensed/relocation package available).

Responsibilities will include working as a key member of the management team to plan, develop and implement business strategies, develop and motivate the wider finance team and support the achievement of the overall vision, leadership and direction of the strategic objectives. Operationally you will be driving the development and improvement of financial insight and driving the quality of the financial outputs across geographical divisions as well as leading annual budgeting, positively influencing input to optimise deals, capital investments and supplier arrangements alongside the senior leadership team.

To be considered for the role you must be a dynamic, operational finance professional with an outstanding commercial track record of achievement in a complex business of scale - ideally online or in a PLC environment. You will be seeking a role where you can drive change and have direct influence on decision making and direction of travel and will have a strong commercial acumen and good negotiating skills. Fully qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) you will bring gravitas and strong commercial nous as well as drive and ambition to succeed whilst maintaining a team culture and enjoyment of supporting and developing others.
