Our Executive Process
Establishing the Brief
The success of the recruitment process depends significantly on the quality of the initial brief. Our process begins with a face to face meeting whenever possible; working closely with our clients we can fully understand their recruitment needs and establish the skills, experience, capabilities and cultural fit that the right individual will need for both the role and the organisation as a whole. At the initial meeting, we agree the candidate brief and search criteria with our client. We are committed to providing a consultative approach throughout, offering our expert advice and sharing market insights wherever it may help.
The Search
Extensive initial desk research is carried out to thoroughly map relevant companies, sectors and specific talent pools. Our research team will also carry out a comprehensive database review of both active and inactive candidates. At the same time, our consultants mine their extensive networks to identify possible candidates across the market. From the search results, we select and approach all potential prospects for the role to assess their suitability and interest, keeping the client updated on progress and market feedback during this period. Our consultants and researchers then collate a longlist of qualified candidates and conduct in-depth interviews (utilising methodologies/ competency based techniques agreed in advance with the client) before selecting the most suitable individuals for the shortlist.
Shortlisting
Our clients are presented with profiles of the shortlisted candidates (usually 4 to 5) together with informal references, notes on their suitability for the role, proof of qualification and right to work in the UK. We meet to review and discuss each person’s profile so that our clients are fully informed and briefed before commencing first round interviews.
Client Interviews
Axon Moore will organise and manage every stage of the interview process as appropriate for each individual client. The consultant will liaise with the hiring manager(s) and interviewees at each stage of the process, providing regular feedback to all parties to ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible.
Unsuccessful candidates are dealt with sensitively and professionally, ensuring they leave the process with positive impressions of both the client and Axon Moore.
Offer and Placement
Once our client has selected their preferred candidate, our consultant will present the offer and manage the process of acceptance, resignation and any possible counter offers. We keep in close contact with both parties throughout the candidate’s notice period and their transition into the new role.
