A great opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a successful business based in Stockport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining daily cash book, including Bank/Cash ledger entry.
- Handle Stock adjustments and cancel Delivery notes re booking errors.
- Assist in the preparation of the weekly wages, set up the bank payment, and provide cover as necessary.
- Preparation of Debtors’ Chase List / assist with debt collection.
- Monthly reconciliation and posting of Petty Cash expenditure.
- Staff Expenses preparation and analysis (Barclaycard, cash & foreign travel).
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.
- Preparation of Accruals & Prepayments schedule.
- Preparation of Sales Analysis and Salesmen’s Reports.
- Preparation and posting of Wages Journals.
- Maintenance of the Year-End Overheads analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Various Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Preparation of the VAT Return.
Skills and Experience:
- Part Qualified ACCA / CIMA or AAT Qualified.
- Worked in a similar position.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all outputs.
- Excellent excel skills.
