Job description

An inspiring opportunity has become available in a rapidly expanding and energetic company with offices based in Leeds City Centre. They are looking to expand their, already growing, finance team through the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant, with priority responsibilities of supporting the Finance Managers and Management Accountants with monthly accounts.

This well established business and made ample amounts of headway in 2022 and is looking to expand and capitalise on this moving into 2023. This role consists of supporting multiple companies across multiple industries including: finance, fashion, hospitality, leisure and property, making day-to-day work life fast paced, interesting and high spirited.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Sales ledger reporting
  • Process and update payroll programme
  • Sales invoicing queries
  • Bank, cash and statement reconciliations
  • Customer credits and allocating payments
  • Liaise with suppliers by phone and email
  • VAT returns
  • Cash flow and payment conciliation
  • Review analytic reports
  • Supporting the management accountant with month end duties
  • Raising and processing invoices
  • Responding and managing customer and supplier queries
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Time management and deadline work focus
  • 1+ years in a finance role
  • Experience with MS Excel, Xero, Paypal, Airplus, Shopify and Gmail (Desirable)
  • Ambition to grow existing career by taking on extended responsibilities
  • Open to driving process improvement
  • AAT, ACCA or CIMA studier
