Accounts Assistant | £21,000 – £24,000 | Chorley + Hybrid | Temp-to-Perm | Great team and working culture

Axon Moore have partnered with a fantastic company in Chorley which has witnessed significant growth in recent years and, as such, are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant capable of adding value to the business.

This role will be well suited to an experienced and personable candidate who possesses exceptional organisational, numerical and computer skills, is able to communicate confidently and is capable of building long-lasting working relationships.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Raising credit notes
  • Chasing debt via phone, letter and email
  • Pursue direct debit sign up by customers
  • Analysis of total balance movements and ageing of debtors
  • Cash allocation and postings
  • Contribution to weekly and monthly cashflow forecasting
  • Query resolution and escalations
  • Submitting credits and invoices
  • Reconciling and posting invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Processing credit notes
  • Review fortnightly payment runs
  • Escalations with Procurement team
  • Posting bank transactions daily to assist with cash forecasts
  • Monitor the shared mailboxes
  • Ensure POs approved and raised in a timely manner
  • Take responsibility for checking and obtaining VAT receipts for all transactions on the monthly credit card statements
  • Investigate any debit balances or aged balances on the ledger
Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least one years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience of using Sage and Microsoft Excel.
  • Boast a tenacious, problem-solving attitude.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a positive, hard-working approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Well organised and self-motivated with an ability to prioritise and manage own time efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
