Accounts Assistant | £24,000 – £26,000 + Study | Blackburn + Hybrid | Broad exposure | Fantastic management team
Axon Moore are delighted to be once again working alongside a highly-valued client in their search for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their rapidly-growing team. This exciting role will offer the successful candidate multiple avenues to continue their personal development due to the broad exposure and involvement within projects which will be afforded to them.
Centred around Accounts Receivable, but with exposure to Accounts Payable, this varied and exciting role will be well suited to self-proclaimed ‘all-rounders’ who are keen to join a high-growth business and work as part of a high-calibre team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Taking payments and posting to Sage
- Allocating payments that have been taken by card and made into the bank
- Daily raising of invoices/pro-formas for deliveries so that all payments not already made can be taken
- Managing a small section of trade/credit account clients, to ensure accounts are all up to date and paid on time
- Dealing with customer queries on invoices, delivery queries and all other enquiries
- Chasing of any unpaid balances, by phone, email or letter
- Providing holiday/sickness cover for other members of the team
- Purchase Ledger support
- Bank reconciliations
- Other ad-hoc duties and projects
- 1 years’ experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Experience using Sage 50 (desired)
- Have the ability to think logically, adjust invoices and if necessary re-calculations, carry out analysis on information
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- AAT part-qualified, or interested in studying AAT in future
