Accounts Assistant | Up to 32k | Altrincham | Hybrid

I am delighted to be working exclusively with a PE backed technology business looking to add an Assistant Accountant to their long serving and well established team.

This would be a great role for anyone who has strong transactional experience looking for a role with great flexibility.

Main Duties

  • Prepare customer renewal pricing and send out on a timely basis along with customer SLA’s ensuring that they are signed and returned for filing.
  • Chase renewals to ensure that PO’s are provided to enable invoicing.
  • Raise sales invoice and process onto accounting system
  • Credit control – chase sales invoices to ensure that they are paid on a timely basis
  • Process purchase invoices received ensuring approvals are received from appropriate manager.
  • Raise supplier payments for approval.
  • Process employee cash expense and mileage claims ensuring that all claims are receipted and have been approved by line manager.
  • Process employee credit card statements including chasing employees for receipts.
  • Liaise with auditors.
  • Manage petty cash tin.
  • Answering the telephone to incoming calls.
  • Filing of customer contracts and various agreements.
  • Prior experience of working with Sage / Xero.
  • Reasonably competent with Excel.
  • A team player, able to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment, able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid low-level accountancy and bookkeeping knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Keen to work in a fast-paced environment, ready to hit the ground running.
