About the Company:

Axon Moore are delighted to be working with an exciting, fast paced manufacturing business who supply various industrial markets globally. Based in Bury, they are looking to appoint an Accounts Supervisor, which is a key role, reporting to the Finance Director.

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Supervisor to lead one direct report . This is a very hands on role as you will oversee the whole day to day running of the finance function. You’ll need to be experienced, a self-starter and organisation and working well under pressure will be key as it can be quite a demanding role. Salary and Benefits:

Salary in the region of £30-40k, but this strictly depends on experience. 5 days in the office, however Friday you will finish at 1.30pm! With fantastic travel links by tram/train, you will also get 25 days holiday plus banks, health cash plan (option to include family) and private medical through BUPA, company pension, life assurance, cycle to work scheme.

What we are looking for you to do/key responsibilities:
  • Overall management of the finance function.
  • Responsible for all purchase ledger including the monthly payment run
  • PO management
  • Posting of invoices
  • Statement reconciliations
  • All aspects of sales ledger from raising invoices and credits to chasing overdue debt.
  • Daily bank recs in multiple currencies – GBP/EURO/USD
  • Dealing with all accounts queries
  • Working with one assistant
  • Reporting into the FD and assisting with month end close and queries.
  • Any ad-hoc finance related work
Professional qualification and competencies:
  • Preferably 2 years in an all-round accounts role
  • A finance related qualification such as AAT would be desirable.
  • Experienced using the EFACS ERP system is essential
  • Intermediate level of competency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience in a manufacturing role would be beneficial.
  • Strong personal skills such as working to best practice and working to strict deadlines.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Essential to have a common sense and enthusiastic approach to dealing with problems.
