Assistant Management Accountant | £32,000 - £38,000 + Study | Preston + Hybrid | Fast-growing, PE-backed business | Great team and working culture

Axon Moore has exclusively partnered with an excellent company in Preston as they continue to expand their operations. This business has witnessed significant growth in recent years and, as such, are seeking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to their specialist team. This role will be well suited to a proactive candidate who possesses exceptional organisational, numerical and computer skills, is able to communicate confidently and is driven by success.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
  • Treasury: Load all the payments on a daily basis, ensuring there is enough money in all the bank accounts for upcoming direct debits and standing orders.
  • Bank Reconciliations.
  • Monitoring and recording of all credit card expenditure.
  • Fixed Asset register: Ensuring all the monthly additions in capital expenditure were added to Sage 200 and proving copies of invoices for the assets.
  • Providing an accurate accrual for the metal book creditors.
  • Reviewing the fixed overhead costs, ensuring everything has been pre-paid.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • VAT returns
  • Constructing the P&L for one of the subsidiaries for all the contracts we have in place. Ensuring everything has been accrued according to the contract summary reports.
  • Payroll cover.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least one years’ experience in a similar role (preferred).
  • Experience of using Sage and Microsoft Excel.
  • Boast a tenacious, problem-solving attitude with good attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a positive, hard-working approach.
  • Well organised and self-motivated with an ability to prioritise and manage own time efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
