Job description

Axon Moore are exclusively recruiting on behalf of a well-established and exciting business based in Media City. This role will support the Finance Manager on a range of day-to-day and month-end finance duties. You will be an integral point of contact to the operational teams and external stakeholders, such as the banks and auditors.

We are seeking an AAT studier or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified Assistant Management Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. This would be the ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven individual looking for a busy, developmental role in a fast paced environment. Study support is included for CIMA/ACCA as they are looking for someone quite ambitious.

Salary and benefits:

Salary - £28-30k DOE plus study support, hybrid (3 days in the office), flexible hours between 8-6pm based on a 37.5 hour week, 25 days holidays plus your birthday and bank holidays off, pension, medical cover.

Responsibilities include:
  • Month-end responsibility and providing support to the Finance Manager for the portfolio, including attending monthly meetings
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • P&L reviews with variance analysis
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset register
  • Support with statutory reporting at year end
  • Assisting with the annual audit
  • Support to Tax Manager with VAT returns
  • Query resolution
  • Providing financial support to the Operations teams
Experience & Skill Requirements:
  • AAT studier or Graduate with experience, ideally a part-qualified ACCA/CIMA Accountant
  • Experience in an accounts position, looking for more exposure and development
  • Good IT skills and a competent user of Excel – VLOOKUP and pivot tables as standard.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – approachable and down to earth with good communication skills
  • Highly enthusiastic and looking to develop and progress in the role
  • Good time planning skills and attention to detail
  • Adaptable to change with good problem solving skills
  • A self-starter with excellent team work abilities, who works hard under pressure
