Axon Moore are proud to be working along-side a globally established and market leading company as they look to extend their dynamic and hard-working team through the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant.

This is a brilliant role for a Graduate or an accounts assistant looking take the next step in their career by training to be a Management Accountant. The role offers full study support towards ACCA or CIMA. You will gain valuable experience within management accounts with the support a mentor.

The Responsibilities:

This role with report directly into the finance manager and consists of the following responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts from trial balance;
  • Prepare and input journals, including accruals and prepayments;
  • Provide support with the day-to-day financial transactional activities and reports;
  • Investigate variances and provide information on financial activity;
  • Prepare the month end timetable and support the Purchase Ledger and Credit Control teams with the ledger close;
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and be able to explain reconciling items;
  • Prepare inter-company elimination schedules and assist with inter-company reconciliations;
  • Assist with external audit, tax compliance and other regulatory reporting;
  • Support the finance team on other areas when required, including process improvement activities

The right candidate for this role is someone that carries these essential traits:
  • Graduate degree qualified or relevant experience
  • Double entry accounting knowledge (essential)
  • Strong team player
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a financial role
  • Ability to learn new/changed systems quickly
  • Through and methodical thinker
