Chief Financial Officer - Leeds - Tech / PE

Axon Moore are working with a growing and profitable Private Equity backed technology business in Leeds to appoint a Chief Financial Officer.

The business has a turnover of ca. £10m, has a number of revenue streams including Saas and has a series of high profile customers spanning a range of sectors and disciplines.

The recent investment in the business will signify a major landmark and they are poised for significant growth and profitability in the next 3-5 years.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:  

• Take a lead role in managing the relationship with the PE investors
• Driving a strategic growth agenda for the business, helping to plan and target new markets to expand in and exploit
• Play a role in evolving the products and services, ensuring the business model is priced accordingly and margins are preserved and maximised
• Develop the finance team with a specific focus on increasing the business partnering support offered by the finance team to the rest of the business
• Ensuring robust controls are in place and robust enough to withstand growth and evolution of the business
• Manage all day to reporting activities including monthly and statutory year end, ensuring accounts are filed in accordance with accounting standards

The ideal candidate for this role should have the following background and track record

• High calibre finance leader with Private Equity or Venture Capital experience, ideally having completed a successful exit
• Experience within a similar tech focussed industry would be a strong preference
• Qualified finance leader with a track record of achieving success within high growth, SME businesses of a similar nature
