Commercial Analyst l Manchester l Up to £33k l Hybrid Working Model

Job Overview:

Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a progressive business who are currently evolving from a founder-led start up, to a sustainable scale-up via investment in marketing, tech architecture & infrastructure and a focus on digitising our processes. The business is currently the biggest within their field in the UK. The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Commercial Manager and the wider business to produce timely and accurate performance reporting. Where possible, the role will also help to drive company performance through detailed analysis, insights and recommendations. There will be broad opportunities to get involved in areas including sales & margin optimisation, MI reporting, student & ADI pricing, operational improvements and departmental performance reporting. They are looking for a Commercial Analyst who possesses a proactive and confident approach with the potential to grow into a more senior analyst role.

Salary: Up to £33k

Location: Manchester (Media City)

Main Duties:
  • Conduct detailed analysis and produce insights to support the growth of the business through commercially sound decision-making
  • Produce and own daily and weekly business performance reports to highlight trends, risks and opportunities to the business
  • Produce timely, accurate and detailed weekly performance reporting for internal departments across the business
  • Assist the Commercial manager(s) with measuring customer & supplier performance, pipeline health, connection optimisation, cost to serve and other regular reporting & analysis
  • Continually review operational and commercial data to ensure consistency across all reporting channels.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of reporting data sources and design, generate and suggest amendments according to the requirements of the business
 


Additional Duties:
  • Complete ad hoc information requests and analysis to support data-driven business decisions
  • Identify skills gaps and process issues, proposing improvements as needed to promote best practice and increase productivity
  • Identify opportunities to increase performance and revenue by keeping up to date with market trends
 

Person Specification:
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with accurate attention to detail when presenting data
  • Demonstrates professionalism and integrity with a positive and proactive approach to business change
  • Solid commercial awareness
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical conversations for multiple audiences
  • Proficient in MS
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA part- qualified desired but not essential
