Axon Moore delighted to be partnering with a PE-backed business in Preston experiencing rapid growth as they recruit an experienced Credit Controller to take on a newly created, end-to-end role and take full ownership for their ledger. As such, this fantastic opportunity is well suited to established Credit Controllers looking to add value, implement processes and take on a fully autonomous role.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure timely collection of customer receipts in line with agreed payment terms
- Accurate posting of receipts to assist with bank reconciliation process
- Ensuring credit limits and customer payment terms remain accurate on the system
- Building rapport with key customers to ensure cash collection targets are met
- Ensure all month end queries are cleared in a timely manner
- Regular review of credit reports and customer payment performance to ensure customer credit limits maintained
- Liaising with Group legal function where relevant to mitigate exposure to bad debt
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure timely resolution of customer queries
- Review of customer credit applications to assess creditworthiness of potential new accounts
- Providing reports on accounts receivable analysis and potential exposure to overdue balances
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Able to build good working relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational and time-keeping skills
- High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role
- Good IT and MS Excel skills
