Credit Control Officer / Up to £30,000 / Manchester – Trafford Park / Hybrid
Axon Moore are partnering with a successful retail business in Trafford Park. This business is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Control officer to join their team. The role will involve both B2B and B2C. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising cash collections within payments terms, improving and maintaining DSO, and assessing credit risks. This role involves solely running the credit control function and therefore needs somebody to be able to work independently. SAP system experience is desirable.
Location: Manchester Trafford Park
Salary: Up to £30,000
Holidays: 23 days plus bank holidays
Working hours: Flexible hours, 9-5 or 8-4
Main Duties:
• Chase client payments for outstanding invoices
• Process client invoices in a timely manner
• Resolve client invoicing queries
• Allocate client payments accordingly
• Create and maintain new customer accounts
• Maintain and collate Management Information for the Senior Management Team
• Ensure the Credit Risk Log is up to date with accurate credit limits and client account balances
• Ensure the cash forecast module is up to date
Person Specification:
• Proven experience in credit control or a similar role
• SAP experience is essential
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload
• Ability to work both efficiently and effectively alone as well as part of a large and varied team
• Flexibility and excellent attention to detail is essential
• Basic skills in all MS packages, including Excel and Word
• Ability to use initiative and be pro-active in the approach to all tasks undertaken
• Possess a high level of perseverance as well as a strong work ethic
