Job description

This is a fantastic, flexible, part-time Credit Controller opportunity (between 25 and 30 hours per week), working for a business that understands there is a world outside the office. However during the working day this role falls within a successful, supportive, close-knit team – where friendly, down to earth people are all pulling in the same direction.


The business is a high growth, PE backed service company, they are the successful market leader and have their head office in the Wakefield area with excellent transport links off the motor and free parking on site. The company have continued to expand significantly over the last two years, and as a result, they are now looking to recruit this new part-time Credit Controller, to join the already established finance team.


Working as part of the day-to-day credit control function, reporting in to the finance manager, the role will be responsible for the debtor collection duties across the businesses two companies with key duties including:
  • Cash allocation
  • Debtor account monitoring and management
  • Credit application appraisals
  • Raising of Direct debit collections
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, sales team and other departments within the Group
  • Management of credit insurance and credit risk position
  • Resolving invoice queries
  • Sending invoices and statements to clients
Required skills, experience and background:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in credit control
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Fantastic communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Confident with IT / Microsoft IT packages
  • Team player
  • Proactive
