Finance Assistant | £20,000 - 25,000 + Study Support | Blackburn | Rapidly-growing Business | Excellent Progression
Axon Moore has exclusively partnered with a fast-growing business, based in Blackburn, as they search for an ambitious Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team. This business has witnessed significant growth in recent years and have attracted a best-in-class finance team under an established CFO.
This role will be well suited to a recent Finance Graduate or someone with an AAT background who is keen to progress with their studies whilst benefiting from the exceptional progression routes and mentorship from established and successful industry leaders. Therefore, an ability to demonstrate a keen level of enthusiasm and a desire to succeed is imperative for this role.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Purchase ledger support, including payment runs and statement reconciliations
- Financial transactional support
- Cash book reconciliations
- Spend analysis and cost allocation
- Assist with preparation of management accounts
- Control account reconciliations
- Master data validation
- Fixed asset reconciliations and review
- Freight analysis and allocation
- Ad-hoc reporting and support
- Either a recent Graduate in an Accounting/Finance based subject or qualified/studying towards AAT
- Strong Microsoft Excel and IT skills
- A motivated and willing person who is keen to develop and progress to take more responsibility over time
- Strong numerical aptitude, good time planning skills and attention to detail
- A proactive self-starter with excellent team-work abilities, who works hard under pressure and is happy to go above and beyond in the role
- Strong interpersonal skills – approachable and down to earth with good communication skills
