Finance Assistant | Hybrid | Leeds City Centre | Study support | £27,000


A brilliant opportunity for a talented Finance Assistant to join a rapidly growing and innovative service company based in Central Leeds. 

This role offers the opportunity for you to gain valuable all round transactional accounting experience whilst working as part of a dynamic and high performing finance team.

Working alongside a supportive and engaging finance leader, the role will be varied and fast paced. Here is a little bit about what you will be involved with:

The Job:

  • Purchase ledger: inputting invoices, matching to purchase orders, obtaining authorisation where necessary, coding to the system, reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis, resolving any queries and batching ready for payment
  • Sales ledger: raising sales invoices on a monthly basis, allocating cash daily and chasing customers for any outstanding debts
  • Reconciling multiple bank statements daily
  • Processing accruals, prepayments analysis and reporting
  • Liaising and managing relationships with external stakeholders via phone and email
  • Preparing proposed payment runs and uploading payments onto the bank
  • Supporting the Finance Manager and management accountant to produce the monthly management accounts
 
The successful candidate will:

  • Relevant experience within a finance role
  • Driven and motivated
  • Bright and personable with good communication skills
  • Ideally have experience of multiple entities
  • Strong communication skills – able to build relationships and work collaboratively
  • Organised and able to work accurately
