Finance Billing Clerk (3 Month FTC Potential to be extended)
Manchester City Centre
£24,000 - £26,000
Axon Moore have an urgent requirement for an experienced Billings Clerk who has previous experience in either a billings or accounts receivable role.
The successful candidate will be part of the billing team looking after client billing. You will be responsible for raising client invoices and credit notes and ensuring billing queries are responded to in a timely way.
There will be ample opportunity to add value and stretch your skillset as you will be part of the wider Shared Services team with opportunities to be involved in a number of initiatives as the business looks to improve and standardise their billing processes.
Role Duties:
• Raise annual and ad hoc invoices
• Raise Legal invoices
• Respond to billing queries received and escalate any issues or complaints
• Support the Credit Control process as required
• Ad hoc finance tasks as required by the Director of Shared Services
• Undertake training and development as appropriate and engage fully in the performance management process.
• Contribute to the culture positively, attend meetings as required, and carry out duties willingly and diligently
Key Requirements:
• Strong attention to detail
• Outstanding numeracy, data management and manipulation skills
• Strong communication skills
• IT literate, including strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Takes full ownership for the delivery of tasks
• Readiness to work to enhance the available resources
• Independent thinker, proactive problem-solver AND able to ask for help when needed
• Able to say “no” if needs be to ensure expectations of senior stakeholders are not mismanaged
• Resilience, willingness to listen, learn and incorporate feedback
• Diligent, analytical with excellent attention to detail without loss of pace
• Ambitious and keen to take on additional responsibility
