Finance Business Partner | £60,000 - £65,000 | Manchester + Hybrid | PE backed

Axon Moore are working with a highly acquisitive PE backed business in Manchester city centre, who have created a new role for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the team.

Due to recent growth through acquisition, a division within the business require a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified commercially focused accountant to work closely with Managing Directors & General Managers, where you will provide insightful analysis in order to maximise profitability and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include:
  • Act as a key business partner to operational, sales and management teams, helping to develop commercial awareness
  • Support the MD and Delivery Managers with insightful business analysis
  • Provide detailed performance reporting and KPIs for board packs
  • Work with business leaders to provide meaningful information to support budgets and reforecasts
  • Review and analyse divisional costs to support accuracy of accounts. This includes providing accurate commentary and investigation into variances
  • Create and manage company KPIs to help drive business performance
  • Implement improvements in financial analysis and control. Develop working capital measurements and plans to control working capital levels, whilst maximising profitability and Cash Flows.
  • Ensure utilisation and WIP reports are delivered and provide direction/support on ways forward
  • Analysis of work in progress and KPIs
  • Continuously look at ways to improve working files/processes/systems with the aim of increasing accuracy
  • Drive automation of processes and data analysis, including utilisation of existing tools and working closely with MI and IT colleagues
Person specification:
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with minimum 3 years PQE
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues.
  • Previous experience in a commercial accounting / business partnering role is essential
