Working alongside a Senior FBP, this role will be responsible for partnering across key projects, focusing on business change and improvement. This is a fascinating role for anyone looking for a blend of traditional finance + operational improvement.
Typical candidates will be ACA/ ACCA or CIMA Qualified with a strong focus on their commercial and communication skillset. Technical experience can come from either an accountancy firm, or industry based Management Accounts.

Location: Central Manchester
Main Duties:
- Act as a financial advisor and positive advocate for Finance to the Directors.
- Develop the annual budget, business plan and forecast in conjunction with the relevant Directors.
- Produce accurate Management Accounts and high-quality MI in line with set timescales. This includes all areas of the P&L, balance sheet and cashflow.
- Business partner with senior leaders in finance to propose periodic changes in the forecast.
- Provide financial support to key stakeholders to provide financial insight into business decisions.
- Play a key role in challenging business decisions to improve key success measures.
- Understand and challenge current business practice, identifying areas of improvement and new initiatives.
- Ensure all applicable balance sheet reconciliations are completed in line with agreed deadlines.
- Provide an effective relationship with key staff in the finance control function.
- Collaborate with team members through sharing information.
- Develop business information utilising dashboards to integrate finance information with PMO teams.
- Provide high quality financial analysis for key projects.
- Lead key elements of business partnering and performance processes by challenging and influencing senior managers.
- ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified.
- Relevant experience of Management Accounts or Accountancy Practice.
- Able to support the business function and senior management team.
- Excellent communicator, capable of disseminating financial information to both finance, and none finance individuals.
- Experience working in an environment with tight deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skill set.
