Finance Business Partner | Central Manchester | ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified | PE Backed Retailer

Job Overview:

Axon Moore are delighted to be working alongside a fantastic organisation based in the city centre who are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the team.

The organisation are a fast paced, entrepreneurial e-commerce/ retailer who are disrupting a saturated market, offering a unique and alternative product to a niche audience. With private equity backing, a diverse product portfolio and operating across both e-commerce and retail, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join an exciting business.

The role will responsible for month end, but the real focus will come through partnering across all facets of finance and with senior stakeholders across the business, providing integral commercial insight into business performance.

Ideal candidates will be those who have a background in Management Accounting, and have begun adding commercial responsibilities to their CV. It is vital that the successful applicant has a strong desire to partner with the varying stakeholders in the business.

Salary: £50,000-£55,000
Benefits: 25 days holiday
Location: Central Manchester

Commercial responsibilities
  • Provide SLT with recommendations on opportunities to improve the financial performance of the business. 
  • Provide insight into the business performance utilising KPI's. 
  • Provide a weekly finance update on KPIs v forecasts to the wider business. 
  • Identify cost saving initiations or opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Provide financial support across the business, with a particular concentration on marketing and operations. 
  • Ownership over the short term cash forecasting and deliver updates. 
  • Scenario modelling to assess the impact of various business strategies and offer recommendations.
  • Review pricing strategies.
Reporting responsibilities
  • Support the month end process, covering revenue and inventory.
  • Responsible for maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Identify any gaps in the controls process and provide recommendations.
  • Assist with process improvements within the finance department.
  • Assist with ways to make the month end process more efficient.
  • Responsible for the audit process, liaising with the audit manager.
