Finance Business Partner | Central Manchester (hybrid) | £45,000 - £55,000 + 10% bonus | PE backed leisure business

Axon Moore are working exclusively with a great brand in central Manchester who are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a full time permanent basis. 

This has NO management accounts involved. Purely commercial where you'll manipulate data within Excel seeing patterns when it comes to sales & gross margins. You'll also have a lot of interaction with Account Management, IT, Product & Supplier Relation teams.

Responsibilities include:
  • Work with stakeholders across the business, primarily Supplier Relationship Management, Operations, Sales and Product to agree and drive activities to improve margin
  • Achieve margin targets across a combination of products, channels, suppliers, customers and geographical areas
  • Report on business trends and identify opportunities for improving poorly performing customers, products and channels
  • Identify and champion new opportunities to drive margin performance
  • Produce a monthly margin performance review to update the Board on margin performance, areas of strong performance and progress against any areas of underperformance
  • Measure the margin performance of new product innovations, working with teams across the business to promote and achieve targets
  • Liaise with the Supplier Relations Manager to implement margin improvement programmes across the supplier range, identifying customer, channel, product or route opportunities
  • Work in tandem with the Operations Management Team in focusing staff on the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with the company vision and values
  • Review competitor intelligence and recommend actions to ensure the business reacts to changes in the market, remaining competitive whilst achieving agreed budgets.
  • Undertake a bi-annual pricing review, presenting recommendations for change and expected results
  • Hold a monthly Gross Margin meeting with key stakeholders highlighting good and bad margin performance and agreeing actions and strategies to deliver against budgeted expectations

  • Good excel skills (pivot tables & vlookups) 
  • Ambitious with a desire to better yourself and progress throughout your career 
  • Confident, good communication and presentation skills
