A privately-owned SME in the Leeds area are seeking the expertise of a Part-Time Finance Director to provide high level support to the Managing Director, and help build and develop the finance function.
The business has proven resilient during the last 2 years and is ready to forge forwards and seize opportunities to grow. The development of the finance function is a key contributor to the business achieving its goals.
The role would suit a Part Time Finance Director as there are a proportion of high level duties that are required within the role, however due to the scale of the business and the balance of higher level vs. day-to-day duties, the FD role can be done on a 2 or 3 day per week basis.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting the board and Managing Director with strategic decision making and providing financial clarity on future plans
- Ensuring all standard costings and associated procedures are well established and executed within the finance function
- Preparation of management reports and input into board packs
- Providing analysis on business performance
- Establishing appropriate KPIs and providing accountability within the business to achieve targets and reporting deadlines
The successful candidate for this role is likely to possess the following background and experience:
- Qualified Finance Leader with FD level experience
- Manufacturing industry experience is essential
- Likely to have a Portfolio FD career in recent times, demonstrating an ability to be flexible to suit a clients needs and a track record of adapting to new business environments
