Finance Manager | West Manchester | ACCA, CIMA Qualified | Manufacturing | Global Business
Job Overview:
Axon Moore are working alongside a well-established environmentally friendly manufacturing organisation. The large business has a known global presence operating in many different countries around the world. In their on-going efforts to enhance their financial team and productivity, they have introduced a new job opening for a Finance Manager.
Within the large team, the role will be well suited for any individuals who possesses self-confidence in leading groups of people. This global business demands an ambitious mindset, coupled up with a determination for success, providing opportunity for career development both within the Shared Service centre and abroad.
This role would ideally be appropriate for someone who is qualified (ACCA,CIMA), and/or an individual who has significant experience managing a team in a large company environment.
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + bonus

Location: West Manchester
Main duties:
• Lead and develop the Financial Accounts Team, driving continuous improvement and transformation across Finance.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT/Plastic Tax, while identifying and implementing necessary improvement changes.
• Take the lead in crucial aspects of the Head Office budgeting, forecasting process, and monthly KPI reporting.
• Conduct a thorough review of existing processes and operations to pinpoint significant risks, all while ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
• Management of Management Accounts pack for various business units.
• Take charge of managing and coordinating the customs, capital, leases, and HMRC processes, ensuring compliance throughout.
• Co-ordination of Senior Accounting Officer activity.
Person specification:
• People management skills with developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Qualified (ACCA,CIMA).
• Ability to show experience in leading/inspiring a team.
• Advanced excel skills and strong SAP knowledge.
• Confidence in conducting all balance sheet and trial balance reconciliations. (including overseeing bank reconciliations; VAT & HMRC submissions; control accounts)
• High level knowledge of VAT, HMRC compliance and taxation issues.
• Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality financial analysis and advice, consistently meeting firm deadlines.
