Venture Capital Portfolio Finance Manager | £50,000 to £55,000 +  Bonus | Lucrative Long Term Incentive Plan | North West Based | 1st or 2nd Time Mover

Axon Moore is pleased to be exclusively working with a North West based investor to appoint an internal Finance Manager / Financial Controller who will work across their portfolio.

The successful finance Manager will work for the investment team and individual founders across their portfolio. They will be mentored by a market leading Finance Director and will have a close working relationship with an experienced investment team.

They will be responsible for building internal finance functions, developing commercial metrics, and providing hands-on day-to-day commercial and practical support in each portfolio business. Each business is unique and at a different stage of development; some require a lot of time investment before hiring and delegating, and others require only strategic support to founders and oversight of their newly hired finance teams once successfully installed.

This role will be involved in the full life cycle of a business, from initial investment through to sale over a multi-year period and will be an integral part of the process every step of the way. The opportunity will provide a lot of broad experience and a significant opportunity to start a career in a highly sought after part of industry.

This role has flexible working – some from home, 1 day a week on average in Manchester and the occasional day elsewhere in the country with founders.

Candidates for this role must be qualified, be commercially inquisitive, interested in building businesses, and most importantly, be capable of working in a close relationship with founders.
