Key Purpose of the Role
- Provide support to the Finance Director in delivering reliable and accurate monthly management
- Support the Finance Director in managing and leading the day-to-day operational running of the Finance department as well as being hands on with posting journals, analysing reports and accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate production of monthly P&L’s including preparation of monthly accruals, prepayments and other accounting entries
- Management and production of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Variance analysis vs Budget
- Support on cost reviews with Budget holders
- Cash flow forecasting/working capital requirements
- Support the Finance Director with the year-end accounts, financial statements and audit
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns and assistance with Corporation tax comps at year end
- Managing sales ledger, purchase ledger and stock levels
- Review and prepare weekly and monthly payments
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA OR ACCA)
- Management Accounts and core finance experience
- Output orientated with a drive to deliver
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
