Finance Manager | South Manchester | £40k-£46k | Christian Charity

Axon Moore are proudly working alongside a Christian Charity based in South Manchester who are looking to bring onboard a Finance Manager into a newly created role. This is a broad position, encompassing all aspects of finance, and reporting directly into the CFO.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the finance department, including management accountant and transactional functions.
  • Provide insight to the finance team with queries around accounting, taxation and any other financial matter.
  • Take responsibility for the bank accounts and the relationship with relevant financial institutions.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting.
  • Lead on the production of statutory accounts in alignment with the charities SOPR.
  • Lead the annual budget process and production of monthly and annual budget forecasts.
  • Maintain the financial system and ensure financial controls are appropriate.
  • Oversee the preparation of Management Accounts.
  • Cost centre analysis.
  • KPI reporting.
  • Quarterly VAT reporting.
  • Monthly balance sheet reviews.
  • Liaise with outsourced payroll provider and review monthly payroll reports.
  • Keep up to date with any relevant legislation regarding tax, auto-enrolment, NIC etc.
Person Specification
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Experience managing staff.
  • Experience working in a similar organisation is desirable.
